The SolarEdge Battery Backup Interface automatically provides backup power to home loads when the utility is interrupted.  If you need to backup critical loads or you want to backup your entire home, then you will find the full flexibility in which loads to backup the perfect system for covering your needs.  This solution is a scalable solution to support higher power and higher capacity by stacking inverters and batteries to meet your needs.  The built-in Auto Transformer and Energy Meter offer easier and faster installation.  Seamlessly integrate the SolarEdge Inverter to manage and monitor both PV generation and energy storage.  As a matter of fact, you can even connect a backup generator.

Moreover, the Backup Interface is a key component in SolarEdge’s Flexible Backup solution, controlling disconnection of house loads from the grid in the event of grid interruption. Not only are homeowners automatically provided with backup power, in the event of a blackout, for selected loads, but potentially to the whole home. In like manner, solar energy can be stored in a battery for Smart Energy Management applications such as export control. Thus, offering demand response and peak shaving, and performing time of use shifting for reduced electric bills.
